Prosthetic Brain is an audiovisual performance improvised from sound samples from the musician Taavi Kerikmäe and the erratic video animations of the artist Tencu, composed of pixellation, cutouts and rotoscoping effects (invented in 1915 by the Fleischer brothers and used for the light sabres in the first Star Wars movie).
This performance was presented at the 2010 International Video Festival in Bochum (Germany), where it was a clear success. The duo has already collaborated together on several musical projects and dance performances. They are currently working on a contemporary ballet of “The Little Prince” for the Estonian National Opera.
Performance organised as part of Estonie Tonique, the Estonian festival in Paris, October-November 2011. Estonie Tonique is organised and produced: For Estonia: by the Ministry of Culture and Communication, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Estonia in France. For France: by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, the Ministry of Culture and Communication, the Embassy of France in Estonia and the Institut Français.

In October and November, the Estonie Tonique Festival will honour the contemporary creation of one of the most dynamic countries in Europe, whose capital, Tallinn, is the 2011 European Capital of Culture. More than 20 sites in Paris and Ile-de-France
will participate in this event, organised with the support of Estonia and the Institut Français. On the agenda for this new cultural season: classical, traditional and contemporary music, literature, cinema, architecture, theatre, contemporary arts, conferences.
